Staining. Coffee is dark and acidic and since people drink it habitually it is one of the main causes of teeth discoloration. Coffee should be avoided completely when you are in the process of whitening your teeth as it is easily absorbed when your teeth are in their dehydrated post bleached stage. This also means any white fabric it touches will have the same effect.

Cholesterol. Coffee beans contain cafestol and kahweol, two ingredients that appear to raise LDL cholesterol levels. Filtering the coffee traps most of the LDL, but cafestol and kahweol are found in espresso, turkish coffee, french press and scandinavian style “cooked coffee”.

Sleep. Caffeine has a half life of four hours and if you are caffeine sensitive drinking coffee during the day can cause issues for sleep that night. Trouble sleeping cut out the morning cuppa and see what happens.

Stimulant. Caffeine in coffee is  relatively safe stimulant, you need  very large amount to overdose and there are not many adverse side effects. When you feel sluggish or are suffering brain-fog a cup of coffee can cure what ails you.
