What advantages/disadvantages do Macs have over pc?

Virus resistant. It is simply not true that macs cannot get viruses. However, compared to other options it is very unlikely you will ever have any issues with infection on your mac especially if you don’t use it with risky websites or software.

Retains value.  You will never get the same mount you paid for a new mac when you sell it second hand but you don’t lose as much value as you think. Expect a reduction in about 25% per year.

Graphics and creative software specialist. The design and programs available for mac are far superior to pc and that is the reason why so many musicians, designers, and other creatives prefer mac over pc.

Less issues. You will find macs have less problems arise when running it compared to windows.

Maintenance expensive and difficult. Technically you can only take your apple products to an apple certified place for maintenance and if you don’t have a warranty this can be expensive.

Expensive. Macs are not cheap, even if they had no cheaper competitors it is still a lot of money for a computer.

Cloud computing will null operating system differences. With the onset of cloud computing Macs and PCs will be virtually indistinguishable from each other which means the higher price you pay for apple products will pointless.

Less common. Macs are still not the number one computer used so anytime you search for solutions to technical issues you have to sift through pc related info to find your mac specific troubleshooting.
