Arguments for shark culling

4 Answer(s)

Cruelty. It is wrong for us to go into another creatures habitat and act vengefully when we are attacked. The animals have a right to existence just like we do and as Moby Dick shows you cant take vengeance on an animal

Futile. It accomplishes nothing we already kills thousands of sharks per year through culling and fishing but attacks still happen.

No risk of extinction. Since the culling only takes place in local areas where there have been attacks there is no risk of wiping out a species. Most shark species are spread across large areas

Safety. Human safety is priority. Our first and foremost priority should always be towards the protection of human life. While the environment and wildlife are important as well if they need to be tampered with to protect people so be it.
