Gas. Grapes contain a lot of fructose and the digestive tract breaks down part of the fructose but part of it is passed to the gut in its undigested form. In the colon, the bacteria feed on the undigested fructose and release gas which leads to flatulence and bloating.

Weight gain. Grapes are a 100 calories per cup which may not seem like a lot but the thing is grapes have a lot of sugar meaning you can consume a lot of them without feeling full. Eat two or three cups mindlessly and you are eating way more calories than fruit should be providing you.
